Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) is the official governing body of cricket in Nepal. Nepal's representative at the International Cricket Council (ICC) and remains an associate member, having been a member since 1988. It is also a member of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).On 15 March 2018, Nepal gained One Day International (ODI) status for the first time and regained Twenty20 International status, after winning the first playoff match in the 2018 Cricket World Cup Qualifier.​
